The eighth Law of Success is “The Habit of Doing More Than Paid For” and the ninth law is “A Pleasing Personality.” पगार से ज्यादा काम करने की आदत और मनभावन व्यक्तित्व सफलता के अगले दो सोपान हैं। जीतने वाले कुछ अलग चीज़ें नहीं करते, बस वो चीज़ों को अलग तरीके से करते हैं।
जो लोग केवल आजीविका कमाने के लिए काम करते हैं वे बस मजदूर ही माने जाते हैं।
Such an attitude is often disliked and even hated. In case of jobs, such people are ignored at the time of promotion and it is very common to see people in their fifties, doing menial desk jobs. This also holds true for vendors or freelancers. एक व्यक्ति जो अपने ग्राहक या मालिक के लिए कर्तव्य की पुकार से परे जाकर काम करता है, उसे हमेशा पसंद किया जाता है।

When you do only that which you are paid for, there is nothing out of the ordinary to Attract Favorable Comment about the transaction; but, when you willingly do more than that for which you are paid, your action attracts the favorable attention of all those who are affected by the transaction. आपके काम का अच्छे होना आपकी शोहरत बढ़ाता है, और आपकी सेवाओं की मांग दूर-दूर से आने लगती है। फिर, यदि आपका नियोक्ता आपके वेतन में वृद्धि नहीं कर रहा है, तो धन्धे में उसके प्रतियोगी आपको ज्यादा पगार पर बुला लेते हैं। फ़ज़ा इब्न-ए-फ़ैज़ी के लफ्जों में, “जितनी सादा है तबीअत उतना ही तीखा हुनर।”
हर दिन कम से कम एक व्यक्ति को मुफ्त में कोई उपयोगी सेवा प्रदान करने की आदत डालें।
इसके लिए न तो किसी के कहने की उम्मीद करें और न ही कोई पैसा लें। Give free tuition, bring someone medicines, drop a child to school, whatever… do one task free, out of love. Once you start taking a keen interest in the other fellow’s “story” in life, you become a pleasing personality. मुनीर शिकोहाबादी ने फरमाया है, “फ़र्ज़ है दरिया-दिलों पर ख़ाकसारों की मदद, फ़र्श सहरा के लिए लाज़िम हुआ सैलाब का।”
As per the ninth law of success, a pleasing personality is one that makes use of Imagination and Cooperation. किसी भी ऐसे व्यक्ति में जिसके पास मनभावन व्यक्तित्व नहीं है उसमें आप ध्यान से देखने पर कल्पना और सहयोग के पहलुओं की कमी पाएंगे।
दूसरे लोगों को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित करने के लिए पहले अपने आप को आकर्षक बनाना जरूरी है।
Acquire the habit of making yourself agreeable and you profit both materially and mentally; for you will never be as happy in any other way as you will be when you know that you are making others happy.
Oscar Wilde said, “The note of the perfect personality is not rebellion, but peace.” हिमायत अली शाएर फरमा गए हैं, “रौशनी में अपनी शख़्सियत पे जब भी सोचना, अपने क़द को अपने साए से भी कम-तर देखना।” The idea is not to please all men but to be an instrument of God and a blessing to the needy. भगवान उन लोगों को आपके पास लाऐं, जिन्हें आपकी सहायता की आवश्यकता है; और आप इस अवसर पर खरे उतरें, यही कामयाबी की छोटी सी कहानी है।
